The Khan Academy is an organization on a mission. We're a not-for-profit with the goal of changing education for the better by providing a free world-class education to anyone anywhere.

All of the site's resources are available to anyone. It doesn't matter if you are a student, teacher, home-schooler, principal, adult returning to the classroom after 20 years, or a friendly alien just trying to get a leg up in earthly biology. The Khan Academy's materials and resources are available to you completely free of charge.

Group: Homeschool Penpals

An awesome Yahoo group for homeschoolers to find penpals.

From their website: Homeschool Pen Pals (PenPals) K thru 12, established for families who are homeschooling and who would like to exchange postcards, emails, Flat Stanley Travelers, various items or letters with other homeschooling families. The benefits of this group’s purpose can be used a supplement to language arts, social studies or geography activities, or just for fun. Members are welcome to stay as long or as short of a time as they like; however, members will be responsible for adding, updating, and removing of Pen Pal information. Parents, for the safety of your children, please screen all potential pen pals carefully; you have the right to refuse a pen pal request.
